This book compiles the popular series "Mountain Trout on the Brink," which resumed in 2020 in FlyFisher. It lovingly describes the char and yamame trout that are barely hanging on to life today, as well as the environment that surrounds them. It's not just a photo collection that gives a real sense of their precious existence, but also an adventure story that records the journey to encounter them.

To capture this work requires a high level of fly fishing skills and experience, knowledge of the natural environment, photography and writing skills, as well as the leg strength to continue traveling deep into the mountains across the country. This is a job that only Sato Shigefumi could pull off.

Please enjoy the rare sight of them swimming somewhere in our country.
