(Comment from the editorial department)
Basser Editor-in-Chief Sasaki:
I bought this soft bait after seeing Arata Imai of Lake Kasumigaura using it. The weight balance makes it incredibly easy to throw. I also recommend tuning it to pierce a rubber rod.
Basser Editorial Department Tanigawa:
I was the one who interviewed Imai Arata, one of the current strongest anglers in Lake Kasumigaura, about his Spin Nuts "Mashike Tune" and got to see its power in the sand. Imai himself said, "This is the only lure I need for cover fishing," and the catches I got were convincing. Of course, it's a worm that will catch a lot of fish even when used as is, without a sinker.
Editorial Department Arai:
As a local of Ushiku Lake, I can confidently say that the most reliable way to catch fish when fishing the bank of Ushiku Lake from post-spawn through August is with a high-density no-sinker lure like a Spin Nut. Simply use a MH or higher rod with a 20 lb or higher line and cast the cover as usual. From mid -May to early June , there's a time when the spawning fish start biting in the gaps between the cattails. Any color will do.
